Location: Our facility is located on the Stamford/Darien border at 316 Courtland Ave Stamford, CT (former Planet Fitness). Our location provides easy access to major highways and Stamford/Darien train stations. Our large parking lot provides a hassle free experience.

Our Signature Programs

 

CrossFit

CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program designed to elicit as broad of an adaptational response as possible.  These workouts consist of constantly varied functional movements and are programmed to be done at a high intensity.  CrossFit workouts are designed to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.

 

What you can expect from a CrossFit class:

  • Small group coaching and individual attention to each individual
  • Functional fitness that applies to sport as well as every day life
  • Increase in strength and cardiovascular endurance

Constantly Varied: Variety is the spice of life and of fitness. The more variety and creativity that are placed into the workouts, the more your body will develop and grow stronger. Variety in exercises, sets, reps, weight, rounds, etc. is the key to developing every component of physical fitness.

 
Functional Movements: Functional movements are universal motor patterns that mimic human movement in every day life. Functional movements are squats, deadlifts, pushes, pulls, lunges, rotational movements. They are not single-joint movements but rather multi-joint movements. They are safe, develop very powerful and useful core strength, provide tremendous neuro-endocrine response, and are the best cardio and best rehab training you can do. Functional movements move from core to extremity and can tolerate high loads and move them long distances in a short amount of time.  Functional training provides the body with a stimulus that is unmatched. These movements will improve the quality of life of everyone who performs them and will teach people how to move their bodies more efficiently and effectively in all life’s endeavors.  From elite athletes looking to improve their performance in a particular sport to a grandmother seeking to gain strength to pick up her grandkids from the floor to over her head, functional training is the answer to improving the overall health and well being of everyone, no matter what level of fitness.

"JUST RESULTS" ™
 

Our "JUST RESULTS" classes emphasize metabolic conditioning through the form of high intensity interval training (H.I.I.T). This program will expose you to the basic bodyweight and dumbell movements of CrossFit. The program is designed to introduce you to these movements in a structured and progressive manner. 

"JUST RESULTS" vs. CROSSFIT
There are more similarities than differences between CrossFit and "JUST RESULTS", but the main difference is that in "JR", there’s an absence of heavy barbell work and technical movements such as the Olympic Lifts. In that way, "JUST RESULTS" is more of a continuous, fast-paced workout, with less breaks, and not a lot of “learned” movements or technical knowledge.

With "JUST RESULTS" you will develop your endurance, stamina, strength and speed. All of these will benefit any athlete looking to perform their sport at a higher capacity for a longer period of time.
For this reason, our "JUST RESULTS" classes particularly benefit our endurance athletes such as runners, bikers, and triathlon competitors. This class is also recommended to newer or less experienced CrossFit athletes. If you want a highly intense workout designed for any fitness level, but aren’t of the mindset to study the technical movements of CrossFit, then "JUST RESULTS" might be the perfect option for you.

Our "JUST RESULTS" classes are appropriate for all fitness levels. If you are a seasoned CrossFitter or an endurance athlete, this fast-paced workout will further boost your training. If you’re new to fitness but are looking for a high intensity workout that doesn’t focus on some of the technical movements of CrossFit, then "JUST RESULTS" may also be the perfect option for you.

The primary goal of "JUST RESULTS" is for you to gain the knowledge and conditioning necessary to attend the regular classes at CFSB and to allow for a lighter/conditioning day for the body to recover for those of you coming to 4+ CrossFit classes per week. It is also designed for you to acclimate to the intensity of a CrossFit workout in a safe, gradual way. The difficulty of the workout is, ultimately, in your hands. The degree at which you push yourself will determine your own level of intensity during the workout. Our goal is to build you up to the level of intensity and output that is inherent in CrossFit methodology.

"Operation Muffin Top" (O.M.T)

Operation Muffin Top is the kick in the butt many of us need to get back on track and feeling our best. It is a balanced, hands-on approach that provides people with all the tools they need to succeed in both losing weight and being fit.

The best part about OMT is that there are TWO ways to win. Not only do we award a cash prize to the participant who loses the highest percentage of their starting weight but we also award a prize to the participant who racks up the most points throughout the competition based on the following point system:

 

  • Attend a group class or private training session: 10 points
  • Submit a DAILY food journal for review: 10 points
  • Before and After pictures: 15 points
  • Submit a video testimonial: 20 points
  • Every inch lost (waist/hip/thigh/chest): 5 points
